Roar Before the Rolex 24 2027

The Roar Before the Rolex 24 marks the traditional start of a new racing season for Action Express Racing, providing a vital opportunity to prepare for one of motorsport’s most demanding endurance events. Held at Daytona International Speedway, the official IMSA test brings teams and drivers together for their final preparations ahead of the legendary Rolex 24 At Daytona.

For Action Express Racing, the Roar is about much more than outright lap times. Engineers evaluate car performance, reliability, tyre management and race strategy, while drivers familiarise themselves with changing track conditions and traffic. Extended running allows the team to refine setups, practise pit stops and strengthen communication before the challenges of 24-hour competition.

The team has enjoyed several memorable Roar appearances throughout its history. In 2014, Christian Fittipaldi set the fastest overall time aboard the No. 5 Corvette Daytona Prototype, providing an early indication of the form that would deliver victory at the Rolex 24 and the IMSA championship. More recently, the team’s Cadillac prototype programmes have used the event to develop new technology and integrate evolving driver lineups.
