Action Express Racing has been a defining force at the 24 Hours of Daytona since its inception. Founded in 2010, the team immediately made its mark by winning its first Rolex 24 overall in its debut year in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, with João Barbosa, Terry Borcheller, Ryan Dalziel and Mike Rockenfeller taking victory in the No. 9 Riley-Porsche powered entry.
In 2014, now competing under the unified IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship banner, Action Express claimed another overall victory with Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi and Sébastien Bourdais in the No. 5 Corvette Daytona Prototype, holding off strong competition in a dramatic finish. The team continued its success throughout the DPi era, highlighted by a commanding 2018 Rolex 24 win when Filipe Albuquerque, João Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi led a Cadillac 1-2, completing a record 808 laps and showcasing outstanding endurance and strategy.
More recently, Action Express has remained competitive in the premier GTP class. In the 2026 Rolex 24, its No. 31 Cadillac V-Series.R driven by Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Frederik Vesti and Connor Zilisch surged from a lap down to finish a close second, underlining the team’s resilience and consistent pace at Daytona.
