Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring 2025

March 12, 2025 - March 15, 2025

At the grueling 2025 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring — the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season – the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R from Action Express Racing put in an impressive and determined performance against one of the strongest endurance fields of the year. Over 12 hours at the historic Sebring International Raceway, the Cadillac crew battled pace, traffic and changing conditions to secure a competitive result and valuable championship points.

The weekend began with adversity in qualifying: a software issue relegated the No. 31 Cadillac to the back of the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) grid. Undeterred, drivers Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Frederik Vesti launched a measured charge from deep in the order, steadily gaining positions as the race wore on. By the second hour, the team had worked its way to the front, leading the race through disciplined driving and flawless pit execution – even holding the class lead through much of the middle portion of the event.

As the Sebring marathon unfolded, the No. 31 showed its race pace and consistency in a tightly contested prototype battle, staying competitive with the eventual race leaders. Although the overall victory ultimately went to Porsche Penske Motorsport in a dominant performance, the No. 31 Cadillac delivered a strong showing by finishing fourth overall, just seconds shy of the podium after a hard-fought 353 laps around the legendary 3.74-mile circuit.

Despite starting from the back, the team’s climb into the top five showcased the Whelen Cadillac’s potential and the depth of talent in both driving and strategy execution. The performance illustrated how effectively the crew adapts to adversity and battles through challenging race moments – a hallmark of Action Express Racing’s endurance efforts.

Ultimately, Sebring provided plenty of positives for the No. 31 squad: competitive pace throughout 12 hours of intense racing, bold racecraft from each driver, and a platform of momentum to carry forward into the remainder of the 2025 WeatherTech Championship season.
