Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring 2026

March 18 - March 21

The 2026 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, delivered a hard-fought and highly competitive endurance battle, with Action Express Racing and the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen V-Series.R once again firmly in the fight at the front.

The weekend began in ideal fashion, with Jack Aitken securing pole position for the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen, a clear statement of outright pace heading into one of the toughest races on the calendar. From the green flag at Sebring International Raceway, the team converted that speed into early race control, leading the opening hour and establishing itself as a key contender.

As the race developed, the No. 31 crew of Aitken, Earl Bamber and Frederik Vesti remained a constant presence at the front of the GTP field. The Cadillac showed strong balance over Sebring’s notoriously bumpy surface, combining long-run consistency with the ability to respond to evolving race conditions. Through pit cycles, traffic and changing track grip, the team executed cleanly and maintained track position against intense factory competition.

In the closing stages, strategy and race control across the field ultimately shaped the final outcome. While Porsche Penske Motorsport converted its pace into a race-winning 1–2 finish, the No. 31 Cadillac continued to apply pressure and remained within striking distance as the race unfolded.

At the checkered flag, the No. 31 crossed the line just outside the podium positions on the road, but was subsequently promoted to a podium finish following a post-race technical penalty for another of the Cadillacs securing a well-earned top-three result for the Action Express Racing crew.

The result reinforced several key positives for the No. 31 program: outright qualifying pace, strong execution across a full 12-hour endurance contest, and the ability to consistently challenge at the front against the deepest GTP field in IMSA. On a circuit that demands both precision and durability, Action Express Racing once again demonstrated its championship-calibre capability – converting speed into a result that keeps the team firmly in contention as the 2026 season unfolds.
