JC FRANCE

BIOGRAPHY

The France family and Daytona International Speedway are forever linked together in NASCAR history. JC’s Grand-father Bill France Sr. founded NASCAR and helped build the Speedway commonly referred to as “The World Center of Racing”. Like everyone in motorsports JC wants to claim a victory at the facility that his family is such a big part of.
Competing in the inaugural season of the GRAND-AM Daytona Prototype class in 2003, France finished third in the driver standings with two overall wins and a second place finish at the Rolex 24. In 2004 he and teammate Hurley Haywood finished 13th in points with 6 top ten finishes. After just 1 top ten finish between 2005 and 2006, France rebounded in 2007 with 3 top tens, including a fourth place effort in the Rolex 24. 2008 saw France finish third in the series standings as he and teammate Joao Barbosa combined for 6 top fives and 11 top tens for Brumos. France scored 8 top ten finishes in 2009. The 2010 season saw JC claim two more top ten’s (Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio) and a fourth at Lime-rock. Just this past season France claimed seven top ten’s, three top five’s and one win (Virginia International Raceway).

JC’s accomplishments also include receiving the Jim Trueman award as the top DP Sportsman driver in 2008 and competed in his 100th GRAND-AM event in 2011.
France is a familiar face in the #9 entry from Action Express Racing. The 2012 edition of the Rolex 24 will be the 50th anniversary of this prestigious event.

JC will once again partner with Joao Barbosa, Terry Borcheller and Max Papis as they strive to place their Corvette Daytona Prototype in winner’s circle. The combination of the new car and powerful driver line-up have most people believing that this will be JC’s best opportunity to date to claim a victory at Daytona.
