POSITION: CREW CHIEF
Chad Gordon is a native of Berlin, VT and came to Action Express Racing in December of 2009 as a graduate of the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC. While attending NTI, he worked for Champion Tire & Wheel gaining additional experience in motorsports.
Gordon has been a crewmember for both of Action Express Racing’s Rolex 24 at Daytona victories, and was a part of the historic 2014 IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar and Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup Championships.
Having consistently demonstrated the ‘Expect to Win’ attitude of Action Express Racing, and his hard work and determination led to his promotion of crew chief on the No. 31 Whelen Engineering/Team Fox Corvette DP for the beginning of the 2015 IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
In his first season as a crew chief, Gordon led the Whelen Corvette DP crew to two victories and quickly established his group as one of the premier pit crews in the sport. The No. 31 was in position to win the championship into the closing minutes of the season finale.
Gordon and his crew will look to build off their first season of success in the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Chad currently resides in Troutman, NC where he spends time training his young German Shepherd and enjoying the challenge of ‘do it yourself’ home improvement projects.
